The Christmas funfair will not close this weekend as originally planned. This was announced by Ibiza Town Council on Friday morning. Instead, the event has been extended by a further week and will now remain open until January 18, which will be its final day.
Despite this extension, Ibiza Town Council has also reported that the Sa Joveria car park, the area currently occupied by the fair, will not be available for use on Monday, January 19. According to the council, this is the day on which work will begin to dismantle the attractions. In this regard, the local authority recalls that additional parking space has been made available on land located between the fairground area and nearby facilities. In addition, transport links to the town centre are provided by the Consell d’Eivissa’s L50B bus service.
The funfair is not the only Christmas event in Ibiza Town to extend beyond Three Kings’ Day. The gastronomic market located in Vara de Rey has also been extended for a few extra days and will now remain open until January 11.
